Will it be what is old is new?
Have we reached a saturation point of insensitive, face-less, and impersonal relationships? If so, it might be a great time to open a bank or for local banks to focus more on the personal experiences they can offer. I was asked a while back what caused all of this mess and I respond with what was certainly an over simplified response but one I truly believe. We all reached a point of growing business to the point that we forgot the simple principal of “good” business and what makes good business.
It shouldn’t be just about getting orders, it has to include some level of integrity and I believe the entire industry forgot that. Ultimately, what’s the point in having 5 years of prosperity and 15 years of drought? Anyway, the way I answered the question was the “it used to be a privilege to qualify for the loan, it used to matter what your name was and that you stood in front of the loan officer and were nervous about being qualified." And what’s wrong with that? Not everyone should be able to qualify.
Are you doing just any business, or are you focusing on quality, long lasting business? Put your bell bottoms on and let’s get back to what’s good, right, and profitable!
